I am currently volunteering my time to assist a long time friend and mentor, Jonathan Fung, who just recently left his position as the Associate Director of the Film Department at Academy of Art University to head up the Film Department at Santa Clara University. Fancy titles aside, Jonathan is responsible for the Epidemic Film Festival, X-Factor and has done more philanthropic and community building work than I can ever mention. To say he is a hard working man with great integrity is an under statement. I have worked with him before doing set design when he was involved in a public access TV show and a theatrical production a few years back, and it’s great to finally reconnect to collaborate once again.
Jonathan is known for creating artwork within the museum arena that is primarily film-based and 100% in your face. His recent interest lies in the abundance of human trafficking that is going on right here in San Francisco. Under his vision, a team (including myself) will create an installation that may cause some controversy in an effort to spread awareness on this horrible reality.
All I can say is, this is most different project I have ever worked on and since the truth often hurts, the only way to dish it is straight up with no chaser.

Home of the installation in the heart of the Tenderloin.

Our cool entry way.

The current room.
Down the Rabbit Hole is part of a public art installation series entitled Wonderland. All going down this month with an opening next Saturday (10/17).
